While staying at home with her two small children, Melissa founded Sandilake Clothing, a unisex children's apparel company in 2014. In just a few short years she found herself in an globally broadcasted battle with Target over copied clothing design, and landed a spot on Shark Tank.
After her episode aired on Shark Tank, Mel sold SandiLake Clothing and co-founded an eco-friendly blank apparel company called Allmade Apparel. The new product is made from recycled water bottles, and has sold over a million t-shirts to date.
"One of the things you don't see was when we first walk out and I start my pitch. My two-year old lets go of my four-year old's hand and walks straight over to Robert and I didn't realize it right away. She eventually returned and we started our time in the Tank."
